Bikes for Kids

Each year, Kids Action partners with local schools to connect families in need with our annual Bikes for Kids program. Over 12,500 nomination letters are sent to give children across Pottawatomie County a chance to receive a brand-new bike this holiday season.

On December 13, 2025, families will gather to pick up bikes and enjoy festive activities like a Christmas fair, bike maintenance, and a holiday store with free clothes, toys, books, and treats.

From September 15 through November 14, families and school staff can nominate children to receive a brand-new bike. Each application is carefully reviewed, with priority given to children and families with the greatest financial need.

We encourage you to apply early — together, we can bring the joy and freedom of biking to more kids in our community. 💙
